Alan Maxwell, a retired spook turned high school history teacher, stumbles upon a Soviet plot to brainwash the Vice President, assassinate the President, and bring communist rule to to America. Maxwell must use all the skills he learned and the contacts he acquired during the many years he spent undercover as a KGB agent to foil this scheme. As Maxwell uncovers the roots of this deep conspiracy he realizes that no one can be trusted – not even himself.
Production of The Kuleshov Effect was put on indefinite hiatus after producer and star Warren Beatty withdrew to spend more time with his family. We are currently trying to find a big name star, such as Dustin Hoffman or Sid Frenchman, to headline the film. This political conspiracy thriller hearkens back to simpler times, where Americans were good and communists were evil.
Anyone interested in helping us make this film a reality should contact us immediately. Despite it being set in the 1970s The Kuleshov Effect has a remarkably contemporary message about not trusting communists, a message that the young people of today need to hear. We are especially looking for a big name actor in their twilight years who wants to get one last Academy Award® nomination in before he starts pushing daises.
